Did a brands track day on 23rd August - it was a bit wet to say the least
Only managed a 68 second lap and was passed by lots of people. I managed to improve a lot throughout the day though.

Didn't seem to have much rear end grip at all (compared to front & other people) but managed to pass a few elises and beemers though

I'm now wondering about a set of wheels with better wet tyres on (i.e. not R888's) just in case. Any thoughts on good wet tyres? just for track days, not road use...

A021 Yokohama, CR500 Avon or SG compound R888.

Yeah it was a frustrating morning but I managed to improve the car slightly and my driving a lot in the afternoon so I left the track happy (and drenched) and feeling the need for good wet weather tyres.

I use a mini dvr 3:

with a small roll bar mount:

I had to send the camera part back twice because of dodgy connections at the plug end and the microphone with the camera is really bad (and now stopped working anyway) I now use the internal recorder mic which also isn't great.

Otherwise it does what it says on the tin.

How's your car coming along? I was thinking of doing rockingham or donnington soon.

Still got the gearbox on the floor next to the car, hopefully will have a hoist this week as have been let down by one guy, apart from that all ready to go, will give you a shout when up and running

I know of an engine crane in Grove which I might be able to liberate from it's owner. Let me know if you get stuck.
