Re: My car
And it sailed through. Now I just need to sort:
The catch tank feed
The tracking (miles out after fitting a quick rack)
The camber
4 new tyres
A higher rollbar
Tune the new engine
etc

Re: My car
Higher roll-bar is important (I am quite attached to my bonce), but not so easy to change as Striker units are welded in as an integral part of the chassis. I had Raw do it (and add a full cage) thus:
John Bradshaw had an almost identical set-up fitted to his Striker, and I'm very pleased to confirm that it held up perfectly when he rolled the car at Wiscombe Park hillclimb.

Re: My car
I have seen roll bars with bits added on. Not sure how strong these are though.
I will contact Mel at RAW to see what they can do.

Re: My car
And now it's properly back on the road. Took it for its first proper blast, and the new (to me) engine seems excellent. Not yet been properly timed and carbs tuned, but it goes really well.
It would appear to have a 244 cam aswell - picks up superbly at 5,000 rpm.
Happy days !
