Winter messing

Postby Yazza54 » Sat Jan 15, 2011 2:24 pm

Finally managed to get it out of the garage and take some half decent pics before.

New clear full size aero screen fitted, new headlamp covers, new reg, all bodywork done, completely de-stickered it, flatshift, airbox fitted to cut down the induction noise for trackdays (actually sounds better), some other general bits n bobs. Can't wait to get back out in it for a proper drive!

Looks good. You may find a problem with the screen as it is pretty high. I had a screen I had to look through and found it a real problem if it rained or if it was misty as it coats both sides of the screen. I now have one which I can see over the top of.

I know someone else (welderman on locostbuilders) who had the same problem with the aeroscreen on his Fury. When it was the height of yours he couldn't see in the rain. It's now cut to half it's height.

Will see how it goes, I'm quite tall so it seems okay, saying that I've not had a chance to get a decent run out yet with this dreary miserable climate!!

Hi Ryan, LOOKIN GOOD!!!

One thing, your screen look slightly lopsided from the front view, ( mine old one did too, pain in the arse!) . Get some masking tape and stick it on, standing back until it look symetrical along the top edge. Then trim it off the car. Trust me, it will look 10 times better! Have a look on ebay too, " i say ding dong" shop. loads of retro stickers, less is more but you need a few... ;)
