When is this sodding snow and ice going to go away. I haven't driven the Striker for at least 6 weeks !

. Well ,personally I wish they'd leave the salt in the heap . Salt wasn't used when I first past my test decades ago . Snow ploughs simply swept the snow aside leaving a couple of compacted inches for us to drive on . Major roads got a little grit(not salt) and I don't ever recall not getting home or anywhere else I needed to go. All schools stayed open too . I had a Mini pickup at the time and winters were always -10 and sometimes -20 with snow hanging around till late spring some years. Frozen previously salted roads are a pain in the BUTT . I had a chainsaw and shovel in the back during winter which got me past wind blown trees down on one or two occasions. I quite like pitting myself against the elements anyway ------- rant over !!!!!!matt_gsxr wrote:pop the cricket on instead?
Oh, no, your a Kiwi (just remembered).
At least its warming up here, but what is the view with all the salt on the road?
