Those ones have a stub axle (pointy bit) stuck out of them and the adjustbe tapper bearings are pressed into the hub (not shown). Escort ones are the same set-up. Sierra have the fixed bearing pressed into the upright and the hub flange pressed through that. The hub nut is then done up tight (from behind under a cap) and isn't adjustable.
These are Sierra (note no nuton the outer flange)

I think they ar the wrong way round, ie the spindle is on the upright & the bearings are on the wheel. On a Sierra the bearings are in the upright & the spindle is on the wheel hub as it's basically a front wheel drive leg, so the spindle goes where the driveshaft would - well, I know what I mean.

Re: Niggles
I tried to get lightweight Sierra pattern uprights, but as Adi says, the ones that used to be available were withdrawn due to them failing. MNR made them last from memory.
I had resigned myself to either switching to mk2 Escort ones (with new discs, calipers, hubs, and possibly wishbones), or leaving the sierra ones on.
You could probably lose 6-8kg by switching to lighter uprights, which in a 460kg car is significant. Then again, at 460kg it's not exactly heavy as it is.
