Looks very nice. Makes a large difference to the look of the car as well. I was always put off by the classic bonnet but this has changed that.

Have to agree - it's rediculous how something completely see-through changes the apparent shape so much, it's far more D-type (ish) at the front now, snub-nosed & purposefull.

Or am I talking bo77ocks?

Did you have to do anything in particular to get them to fit so well?

Mine don't look like they're going to fit with the headlight ring on.

I moved the lights as far inboard & down as they would go on the "circle" they mount to. So remove units, cut big hole even bigger, re-drill for bolt holes, refit - without the rubber gasket to move the lights back a bit, then with everything lined up I drilled the mounting holes & put riv-nuts in the trim rings. Because I'd left the gaskets out I sealed round the back of the light shells with sikaflex.

Hmm, just had another look... the chrome rings are the least of my worries. The indicators completely foul the covers too. I could fit different indicators but then I'd have two small holes where the others bolted through. Don't think they're going to work

I'll come up with something! Your headlights look slightly smaller than mine.. or maybe I'm going mad.

You could move the indicator back a bit, then use the one hole that reveals to fit a bracket to mount the cover.

Thought about that, not sure if I'll get enough room but I'm going to try that and if it doesn't work I'll fit some flatter indicators that I've found. Must have been on a downer last night I'm sure they'll work with a bit of messing. I'll probably end up fitting them without the chrome headlight surrounds though, for the time being anyway. Are the chrome rings purely just for aesthetics or do they provide any protection/seal? would look better on though.... just don't want to be redrilling the mountings but I guess it'e the only way. Like the upside down rivnut idea... smart!

Yes, racers with light covers don't used them. I think they are more about protecting passers by from sharp edges than anything. I couldn't work out how to fix mine on - the fixing hole is at the bottom, so you can't get to it on a Fury. I put a tiny hole in the grp behind the light & wire-locked the ring on.
