Hi Rich

Thanks for the pics. A very impressive exhaust system certainly.

A couple of questions: How is your engine cover fixed? I don't recognise the fasteners at the top.

Also could you let me know the connections for the cooling system using the water/oil cooler I believe you have from the ST150 engine. I have one too but am unsure of the pipework.

Thanks David

Hi David.

I've done away with the oil/water heat exchanger as it was going to be a pain to plumb. Initially I'll run without an oil cooler but if it becomes obvious that I need one I'll fit a conventional one. The fixings at the top of the bodywork are just supports. The rear clam is 'locked' into place by claw locks in the lower arches.

Cheers Rich

Looks very nice!

Have you had the car on the scales yet? I wondered how the Duratec affected the weight distribution as it is a bit heavier than the Sigma engine.

Oh yes, one more question. How close is the fuel filler to the centreline? I was wondering if I could fit an Aston filler through the front clam à la Porsche RSK.

Hi
Sure i have read somewhere that Richard used Rally Design ones.
Either the build log in mag or 1 of the 15 pages, have checked the catalogue and they look very similar

They do look like the rally design uprights. Do you know if the geometry was updated and what other bits and bobs needed to change? the brackets are nice for fitting calipers as well.

Hi
No fraid not. The riot build in the sylva links is really good as nearly all the mechanical stuff etc is identical.
I use a combination of Completekitcar Riot build, their article on the J15, totalkitcar article, advice fm Sylva (i drive past everyday) and a CD Jeremy gave me and a Haynes manual ?
Why dont you ring him and enquire, he is suffering like all small businesses im sure he would have a few more good links/references ?
Im 20 miles away fm Jeremy near Boston if you ever want to have a look at mine and an impartial view. Im not that impartial though the chassis is a work of art.
