Couple of quick questions -

What do people use to secure their magnets to the propshaft? I lost one on the way to work this morning, having superglued it on last year. Well, I assume I lost one, as I suddenly went from 70mph to 35mph with no discernable change in road speed...

Also, any idea of a source of cheap ones as I want to get 4?

I lost 1 at Llandow last year, stupidly priced replacements came from CAI as I didn't track down an alternative supplier (I'm sure you should be able to source much cheaper elsewhere, if you know where to look!)

I used a 2 part adhesive, should be stronger than standard superglue...

Why not just recalibrate your speedo ?

There's loads of suppliers of such things on eBay. Search there for "neodymium magnets" and find some of the size you want.

I'm surprised it lasted so long if it was superglued on! Use a 2-part epoxy like Araldite instead.

Rare Earth magnets off Ebay as Tim suggested. I bought a bag 10 for not a lot of money.

I made a thin aluminium disc & fitted it under the prop flange bolt heads, the disc is then drilled for the magnets, & they're glued & taped in, but the main advantage is that the centrufugal force is pushing them against the disc rather than trying to pull them off the prop.

I've never lost a magnet.

Same here. Drilled holes, glued magnets in, thick layer of Hammerite over the top.
