It was 267 before i rebuilt it, so probably about 80 knowing my luck :D The engine was rev limited to 7200 but now with steel rods and light forged pistons i will be happy to let it rev to 8500 and see what it does.

All set up by Dave at Mech Repairs in Cheltenham today, 272 bhp at 7300. He advised not to go higher than 7800 so have set the rev limit to that. Looking forward to actually driving it now but hopefully in some dry weather :o

Great result Tim. DTY is one of the rolling-roaders I would trust not to tell you what you want to hear. Notwithstanding steel components, if the engine is not dry sumped I agree with Dave's suggestion of the rev limit -- over 8k tends to start throwing oil all over the place.

206bhp on Dave's "road" feels plenty fast to me, so yours should be an absolute monster..................... ;)

I used the guy at Mech Motorsports to setup my omex / zetec in 2005. Top Bloke, recommended !
The car has run like a dream for 5 years, on & off track, despite me doing my best to break it !

Spa was cancelled due to a hole in the circuit caused by some lorry and a bridge under the circuit.

Did four trackdays over the Easter weekend, all smallish French circuits but the car was just fantastic. The acceleration in any gear is just silly !!! Loved it and had no problems with it all weekend except when the bias bar touched the accelerator pedal when braking hard, interesting when trying to set up for a corner :o
This must be the first time that i have nothing that i would change on a car, its awesome. Cannot wait to get out and use it again now.
