looking after your gearbox and diff

Postby Fizzer » Sun Feb 21, 2010 10:05 am

Having had my car for two years now it occurs to me that I should inspect the 'box and diff.

What checks and servicing would you guys recommend? I have a standard type 9 / live axle fury.
Live Axle Fisher Fury: 2lt Blacktop Zetec, Newman cams, Tiger shallow sump, lightened flywheel, grumbly webers, willwood calipers + disk kit.

Check the oil levels, and top up with the appropriate type of oil if needed.

That's all I do, and they have never needed any extra oil anyway.
