Zetec SE fuel rail

Working on putting a 1.4 Zetec into my Striker, the engine is 2003 fully drive-by-wire:- so have got another inlet manifold (Puma) off fleabay (so that a cable operated throttle body will fit) and lo! nowhere to bolt the fuel rail or injectors!
Help! to what were the injectors/fuel rail attached to on earlier Mks of Fiestas was it some kind of bracket attached to the head? if so have you one kicking around at the back of your garage? beer tokens await.
Pictures of the original setup would also be appreciated.

Hi John,
Here's a pic of the 1600SE setup showing the 2 plastic lugs on the inlet manifold. The fuel rail has got 2 aluminium legs that are bolted to these lugs with a couple of screws. It's prettu much the same on my 1.25SE, but I don't have a 1.4 although I imagine it'd be pretty much the same.
This is from a 2001(Y) MK5 Fiesta.

The Pictures are exactly what I took off! The Puma (98) inlet manifold I have just put, on does not have the bolt holes
So I thought it must be attached some other way? Perhaps I will fabricate some brackets from the manifold bolts.
Thanks for your help, my engine had aircon and the belt to drive the Alternator and water pump is far too long I think I need an idler, and I not sure which way the water pump rotates is it clockwise?

Hi John,
I've got some GSXR600 TBs to be fitted to this engine - I really must update the website! I will need to make up some brackets to support the weight of the TBs so they're not just hanging from the silicone hoses...
The 1.6 had the ABS and AC pumps fitted too which have been removed. I've fitted the aux belt from a 1.25 and I got a belt tensioner from the scrapyard today, also from a 1.25, which all fits together perfectly and gives the belt run shown below (this is a pic of my 1.25, but the 1.6 is now the same).
You can see the tensioner on the left hand side of the belt run.
As for the waterpump... I'm not sure off the top of my head - I'll check and post an update.
What alternator and ECU are you running?

Hi John,
Just to confirm: The crank turns clockwise so the waterpump turns anti-clockwise.

Thanks, I was undecided as to which ECU to use but having met Mr OMEX at the Exeter show I think I will go with an Omex, he thought getting the standard manifold in on a Striker would be difficult so may have to swap sides on the Alternator as well!
I think getting the engine in will be a priority so I can measure up.

Yeah - I decided that 75BHP was ok to start with, but now I need more. I'm aiming for around 125-130bhp from the 1.6 which should be enough for a year or so, and then I'll have to find something even bigger probably...
Like they say - it may be complete, but it'll never be finished!
