Toyota 4age FWD to RWD

Postby Werner Van Loock » Sun Oct 11, 2009 10:23 am

I've got a fwd 4age (redtop smallport high compression engine) in my striker and am looking to add alloy aux. pulleys on, but almost all of them are for the AE86 rwd 4age. Benefit of the rwd setup is that there's more space between the crankpulley and the block giving space to add a 36-1 trigger wheel in between wich is with my current setup not possible.

Another motivation is that AE86 waterpumps are widely available compared to the AE92 gti model.

But I'm wondering what parts I need to replace, waterpump + pulley, crankpulley

but not sure on the alternatorpulley or is it necessary to relocate the alternator?

can anyone shed some light on this?
