Chris is around 17kg heavier than I am. Over the season, we have been about evenly matched on lap times. He beat me by a few tenths at Croft and murdered me at Hethel (he's just braver :? ), I beat him by a few tenths at Curborough and Llandow, and we shared the honours (one all) at MIRA. However, whilst he may be braver (or more skillful), the data-logging is unequivocal: I get out of the corners faster.

Very interesting , Looks like the weight penalty for having bigger balls is worth having

Certainly an advantage when sprinting, but I'm not sure they need to be 17kg ;)

I guess as in all things in life there must be an optimum size and bigger isn't always best ;)

The compomotive 6x13 with the same tires 13,5kg

For reference just weighed one of my OZ Ultraleggera 15 x 7 with 195/50 15 Toyo R888 = 14.25 kg

Have decided to go on a diet over the next few months. David, are your wheels 13" TD 1.2 as I cant find that size listed on their site ? Does anyone know if the Caterham superlight wheels will fit on as I think they are 6 X 13 front and 8 X 13 rears ?

Anyone wanting some parts for their car, I will have all sorts for sale soon, body painted in met black, battery, sierra front end etc etc.

Yes, definitely 13x7 Pro-Sport 1.2. Matbe they haven't updated their site.

You could try calling Ben Landsdowne-Gray of TD on 0121 5256500. If you mention the Westfield Sports Car Club, you may even still get the club bulk-buy price (£75 each IIRC).

Yes and no. Detachable arches come from Raw in (I think) three widths. Mine are certainly wider than the standard non-detachable items.
I use ET20.

21" front and 22" rear -- Avon X-ply nomenclature is different from most people's radial designation.
