2003 STM Phoenix rebuild! Need some help please!

Basically I am new to JPSC and in the process of rebuilding a 2003 STM Phoenix and some of the parts need replacing all silly little stuff, but I don’t have enough knowledge yet to know what bits are off what car originally. Can anyone help me identifying a couple of bits that need replacing? I need to know what the front bottom ball joint is off https://flic.kr/p/F54PuK what the steering tre’s are https://flic.kr/p/24EmAso what drive shafts are used ( I know they are Ford) as I have boots and a cv to replace. https://flic.kr/p/24EmAjY I also need to know what the rear calipers are as I’ve got to replace the handbrake cables. https://flic.kr/p/24EmAsJ Oh and last but not least the top ball joint on the hub assembly. https://flic.kr/p/21YagRS Thanks in advance. 1. Bottom joint is Transit/Sherpa drag link end (right hand threaded one)
2. TRE is Mk2 Escort (think standard, not RS)
3. Drive shafts are modified (shortened) Sierra lo-bro jointed (think Jim Giblett said he built it with xr4 shafts)
4. As 3
5.Top joints are from Metro

@Adi yep i think that's correct about the drive shafts. When Champion was busy winning his class at the Brighton Speed trials in it, Jim was mentioning how strong he built the car.

Thanks Dave :D that’s ironic! haha on reflection after today “strong” probably isn’t the best word to describe it...... I’ve had to cut 6 parts of the chassis out and re weld new sections in today. It was probably so quick because it was a super light chassis as half of it was rust.... I just hope that the precautions I have taken, hasn’t allowed any distortion of the chassis. Anyways she’s off to the shot blasters and powder coaters and then will have the insides of the tubes treated so it should be good for a while after that. Does anyone know where the best place is to get replacement wishbone bushes? Cheers Ed

I think Jim was refering specifically to the shafts being stronger. He went for light on the fury and has broken 3. He told us while we were using a section of Armco to hammer the "unbreakable" replacement back together (does that count as 4?)

Yea I knew that, I just chose to vent some of the rot related days frustrations, glad it’s all done now though. :lol: I like that kind of out of the box thinking! Who knew Armco could be that useful. Haha I would say it’s 4 and counting then! So the xr4 shafts are the ones to have then by the sounds of things?
