"carbon" stone guards are the other option. I had the protection film on the Porsche and it worked well for many years.

I have got some carbon guards, had them sitting in storage for 3 years. Got them out a few months ago to cut and fit and they have gone all yellow
Also carbon chips just the same....maybe I can get the carbon guards wrapped in carbon effect vinyl protective film!

I have some carbon wrap I bought in the garage which I will likely not use.

I actually have a pet hate of carbon wrap. I promised myself that on this car if it looks like carbon then it has to be carbon.
I am looking into re-skinning the guards I have but I keep blowing hot and cold on that idea! Silly thing is re-skinning will weigh more that carbon wrap hence the dilemma

Rub them down and lacquer them?
