Wish I'd read this before now, experiencing just the same on my Fury with Sierra uprights, the castor isn't even the same on both sides 1 deg nearside, 3 degrees offside  Front suspension in bits now pondering a solution, moving the top rocker arms back looks like the answer, but I'll need to shorten the top tube to introduce spacers at the front achieve this.......bit disappointed to be honest expected better from a car that was meant to handle well. On a positive note the shocks were being held forward when I removed them, so moving the rocker backwards shouldn't cause too many problems, hopefully. I'd be grateful if anyone can advise where to get new bushes for the rocker arms, mine appear to be a hard black plastic with a steel tube insert along the entire length, might as well do the lower wishbones bushes too, if they're available?

While you're there yo may want to look at the bump steer.
Adi had it, now its gone. He also sorted the bump steer, I'm sure the write up is on here somewhere.

He followed a similar method to this.

Somewhere like this will probably be able to supply bushes
https://www.polymax.co.uk/anti-vibratio ... ded-bushes
but as Peter said try Steve first.

An interesting thing to note is that the tolerance is tighter on an imperial bush than a metric one. Chris @ BGH showed me why they fit the imperial ones during an open day years ago.

It appears that the chassis sometimes have a random dimension in them which is a shame. But a little work and it can be overcome.

Best of luck.

Just have to keep trying, eventually you'll get him when he is not working on a car.

Does anyone have a pic of the top rockers with spacers, if I've understood correctly some were supplied like this unlike my 2004 Fury which doesn't feature them....yet! Thanks

Er, no pic but if you have an early chassis i dont think they were an option.
I've had a newer front end grafted on so have the option.

If you can wait till the weekend i could probably manage something.
Just dont expect both sides to have the same amount of washers though as 5mm tolerance in the kit car world is close enough.

Thanks managed to get 2 degrees more castor both sides, so now have the option of 3deg both sides or 3deg nearside and 5deg offside with both rockers spaced back. In contact with Steve and new top bushes and ferrules on order :D I'd like to poly bush the bottom wishbones, but not yet found any

I went for the rose jointed front bottom wishbones. Gives you the option of half a turn adjustment, rather than a full turn of the ball joint.

This plus the fact that the rose joints have a finer pitch allow for a slightly more precise set up for camber.
As they're rose joints there's also the opportunity to move them forward or back in the chassis mounts and shim appropriately.

Yes, they are a race item, but a squirt of lube and a size 11 boot standing on the wish bone every few months (when its being driven) is enough of a check.

Here's to an adjustable front end.

Of course there is the issue of the nasty camber gain and the roll centre migration, but I've only read about that on the old Tim Hoverd site, back when he was in a Fury. Never investigated myself, but Tim did write that he had a solution but didn't have the will to cut the pick up points off and re attach.

I poly bushed mine. I'll try and find details of where I got them.
