Re: On-board cameras
I've just got an iPod Nano G5 with a built in video camera, the video seems quite good (hand held in-doors & to a total non-expert), anyone tried car-mounting one of these?, I was thinking of mounting a mini amp on the car & using the iPod as a car stereo (not that I need one, it's just an interesting project ) so a dash-top, or rear view mirror could also capture through-the-screen video.

Just rigged this little camera up on my mountain bike handlebars. Will see how tough these things are first thing tomorrow morning when I go for a spin !

Re: On-board cameras
Hi
I have bought one of these copy md 80 cameras , and I tried it out yesterday in my R1 striker, the results for a camera costing £15 is very good, except a little stutter now and then but reading the posts here that can possibly be corrected by getting a good sd card - I bought a 4gb one but its not a well known brand. Also does any one know of some good software to edit and add music etc?
cheers
Paul

Re: On-board cameras
From what I've read, if you've bought one of the plastic bodied imports, it's not possible (although you can set it!)
My MD80 doesn't display it...

Hi Neil
Yes it is one of the plastic imports, with dodgy instructions so has anyone found out how to adjust the time/date?
regards

Re: On-board cameras
Went and found it for you, given there are now over 50 pages on that thread!
Here is the quote:
You need to open the root folder of the card in Windows, create a new text file, call it TAG.txt, open the file and type
[date]
2009/12/23
22:04:00
(at least that's what I did yesterday - adjust the date/time to suit)
Close and save the file
turn off camera
turn on
date should be set
Thank goodness for google site search...!
