So, I've been putting various parts under the microscope. I've got some pictures here, but most of the detail is in my blog http://www.furyrebuild.co.uk.
Here are the bubbles, between 0.1 and 0.5mm in size.
Here is an infusion with no air ingress.
here is the part where I've used peel-ply to give the part a key when I bond it to the chassis.
