Fury - Fuel pipe to tank fitting

Postby cjt » Thu Aug 27, 2009 12:20 pm

I need to make more room above the rear (live) axle of my Fury.

Firstly I want to move the copper fuel pipe out of the way but I can't find out what sort of fitting that goes into the tank - anyone have any ideas ?

I believe the tank comes from an MG Midget, it's a 1/4 inch copper fuel pip with an olive of .337 inch OD before swaged end into the female tank fitting, the threaded retainer has an OD of 1/2 inch and what looks like a parallel (fine) thread.

The reason for all is that I am changing from drum brakes to Hi-Spec lightweight discs and calipers. The handbrake cables need to be adapted and the only place for the mechanism is above the axle....

Many thanks,

Chris Tipney
Cornwall - on the Llanadow list if I can get the brakes finished.
