Afternoon all,
I've picked up another Fury (knew I'd be back!) and this one has a lowered chassis / raised front pickups. As such, the headlight 'bowls' have had the rear section cut away and fibreglassed over to ensure they clear the tyre when the suspension compresses.
Is there a 'standard' solution to fitting headlights when bonnet has been modified like this, or am I going to have to get creative?
Thanks in advance!
Adam

fit LED headlights and you don't need the bowls.

As Jeff says, LED units are a lot thinner and sealed so you can get away without the bowls if need be.
Any pictures Adam?
There's always this option...

That's... lovely
Cheers for the info and links gents.
I forgot to mention it's the Spyder front end, so the lights are further 'back' than the one on racedandrallied.
LED lights sound expensive Would you mind if I give you a shout (phone call, email) sometime about yours please Adi?
I'll try and grab a pic in a bit...

Re: Lowered chassis Fury, headlights?
I think my LED lights were about £200 so yes, not cheap solution. If it's the LeMans bonnet ((Spyder is the main tub shape) then the light's are always an issue rubbing the tyres, especially if running low ride height. I had to trim mr bowls (before the LEDs) as they rubbed thrugh.
I'll PM you with my email and number.

Re: Lowered chassis Fury, headlights?
Oops! Yes, it's the LeMans bonnet. Ta. Has already been modified to clear the tyres, and there's some random little LED lights in there that aren't road-legal. A picture tells a thousand words... I need to grab some... Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks for that Jeff - could be an option! The car has no headlight bowls in it at the moment, and doesn't look like they'll fit, but it's good to know it's not an uncommon thing to fit a set.

I reckon a 4" dominator style light might fit in there... Re: Lowered chassis Fury, headlights?
Well, they do go in A little bit of fettling required, but they're pretty much pointing in the right directions and clear the light covers by about 5mm. May spray the insides of the bowls matt black to help disguise the poor finish under there, but that's a job for the future.
Aiming adjustment will be fairly 'manual' (bending the brackets, haha), but shouldn't exactly need setting often. Just need wiring in now. Handbrake lever is in (modified an MX-5 one), got a couple of kart calipers for the handbrake system, horn is in, fog light needs to go in, stick a wing mirror on, then it should be ready for MOT... Got a good feeling about this car
