Passed! Yes!
A few adjustments made after a trip to a local supermarket to get it over the line but all went very well!
Took about 4hrs plus 30 mins fiddling.
Tester was a perfectly reasonable chap.
Watch out public highway here i come!

Well done, now pray for a mild/dry Autumn so you can enjoy it :)

Still places available for the 10th September at Blyton on the Complete Kit Car magazine track day.....would be ideal to sort out any issues ;)

Thanks all :D

Posted docs off the DVLA, suspect it will be a good few weeks before I hear back. Will then take some short 'shakedown' trips out first. Lots of things to finish off setting up before I give her a proper workout.

Below is picture from the day. Some thoughts:-
1) Tester only did visual check for sharp edges, common sense approach, which I think is fair enough considering some of the lethal trucks etc I've seen on the road.
2) One issue was rear arch wheel coverage (the rear tub isn't quite wide enough on my wheel offset) - it is the whole tyre including 'bulging' sidewall to 50 deg back, not just the tread width, I was hoping he might take a view, as a sidewall is unlikely to flick a stone backwards... Nevertheless, I took some back-up rubber 'extenders' that I made out of an old 10mm elec safety mat and he was happy for me to glue them on. Unfortunately they fell off on the way home.
3) Check your sound level! Mine was 103, had to buy some ss pot scouring balls and remove exhaust/bung/reattach.
4) Headlights were slightly too high, thankfully I was allowed to bend them downwards.
5) The rear brake peep holes were not checked!
6) Tester spent a lot of time having tea.
7) Driving a transporter on quiet roads at 5am was quite good fun.

First run shakedown-breakdown and a lovely roast dinner with a random family and their staff whilst I waited to be collected!

Specialist also couldn't get the carbs to run properly and we agreed they needed replacement  Now like a different car.
