Phoenix steering column

Hi guys does anyone know what steering column was used in the early Phoenix I need to fit a quick release hub, Thanks in advance.

Jeff will probably answer you for certain but if yours is an early car then I think it'll be an Escort M1 or M2.

That'd be my guess. The alternative might be Sierra which would be a hex fitting for the wheel and a triangle at the bottom. Escort will be splines both ends.

Mine is Escort. Mind you I don't see why that makes a difference if you are fitting a slug to take a quick release wheel mount.

Thanks guys I now believe its a Sierra. I presume a slug is a weld on ? I was going to bolt it on as it can be changed or swapped to another car later.

hmmmm...early sylva phoenix never came with sierra parts :?:

you are talking about a sylva phoenix from 1990 or so?
