OK, need the shafts for my Spectre shortening by 2 inches. I'd like them friction welded so there's no over tube. Anyone know someone they can recommend?
I tried a localish drive shaft specialist but he wanted to sell me a new pair of shafts at £179 each plus VAT. Might be my best option in the end though?
What do you think?
Cheers
Rich

Re: Drive Shafts
Hi, Rich
I had some new shafts made for the Vtec Mojo I'm building as I decided I didnt like the option of joining the Ford and Honda halfs.
I tried Reco Prop and although very helpful on the phone when I turned up with all my measurements and cv joints they weren't really interested.
I eventually found Dave Mac Propshafts who made the shafts for me, same price as Reco Prop but gave me a choice of material and was a lot more interested in the car they were being made for and its end use.
Good luck
Simon.

I got my driveshafts made by GB Engineering in Nantwich, didn't cost anywhere near that much
