I know this may sound like a silly question but where is the best place to jack a Striker up from?
both front and rear.

As long as you are on a good bit of chassis rail should be fine, I normally use the bit where there are 3 'triangulatoring' bits meeting (sic).
At the rear I use the diff, with a bit of soft wood supporting of course, else the corner again.

Yeah I use the diff at the rear too Edd. I was wondering where else to use if I have a diffuser?

Piece of softwood placed across triangularly , seatpan 'side & rear' chassis tube ----- if you need to work on the diff or suspension the diff isn't an option

I jack my Fury under the diffuser where it's held to the diff cage. I've got two button head screws securing it the the corners of the cage and used to use those as a guide. I've since welded it a boss to take a towing eye there, so just jack under that now.

If you have a full floor its worth marking the jacking point on underside for when they do the MOT test (steering movement stuff).

You mean they don't just ask if it's all OK?
The jacking beam won't roll under mine without blocks under the wheels anyway.

I have to lift mine up so he can get the beam under the sump at MOT time!!!!!!!

No m.o.t required on mine or I'd have trouble getting their jack under the bottom front chassis rail at 70mm's to tarmac and sump at 40mm's to tarmac
