Hi all
I while ago I looked into having a rear diffuser made for my Striker but backed out because I thought a little research was required.
Do they actually work or are you just adding more weight??
What about jacking points? do they get in the way?

If they've been developed they definitely work. A friend who sprints a Westy V8 450bhp car had one fitted off a race Exige , with a little adjustment. Once fitted the fibreglass rear wings dragged the tyres on high speed corners which mean't some set-up changes. However , I know of others made by '' guestimation '' regarding angles that didn't help at all

you are correct rob there is a set angle for them and i made one on number 2 striker but had a raw carbon one on striker 3, this one was a flat bottom with a kink/lip towards the rear and if I remember correctly it was wind tunnel tested.
did they make a difference? who knows but the car was very stable at top speed so maybe

So I assume they need something to balance the front end tho too? some front end aero?
not sure how this would work on a striker without looking ugly.
so is a flat bottomed item the way to go or 'tunnels'? Anyone got any photos of what they've done or seen on a striker?
There was a fabulous R1 striker at Stoneleigh with some lovely little bits on.
