After some discussion here and at Stonleigh AGM it was proposed to try and encourage a JP section on the LCB forum; Hopefully with a sticky thread that points users in the direction of the JPSC club and this forum. As a result I've (hope I've not jumped the gun here) had a u2u discussion with Chris (who runs LCB) and he's said if I start a thread there and it gets enough interest he'll consider it.
So if you're a member over there, find the thread and add your support.

As I have said elsewhere, a sticky on LCB to here is a good idea. A separate forum there isn't IMHO.

Are we replacing this forum with a section in Locostbuilders? It would certainly have more footfall (as can be seen by the large number of people who have responded).

Re: JP section on Locostbuilders.
Short answer... No.
Any JP/Sylva section there would be out of control of the club and at the whim of ChrisW (malevolent as he is) who runs/owns the site. The best option for this forum would a sticky there pointing people to this forum and the club site. However there's no natural home for such a link, so a JP/Sylva section with a sticky thread or two about the club and our activities (we might have to arrange some of those) is a compromise.
Hopefully we get more traffic as a result, Sylva specific questions get a home on LCB... everyone wins? ...even if we only gain a few from the 90+posts/users that have replied to the LCB thread.
In the mean time too encourage traffic here, any LCB members could do what I've done and add a link to here into their LCB signature. Every little helps.

Given the scale of the response on LCB (I must admit to being surprised) and comparing it to similar responses here I fear JPSC Forum will become a ghost town, even compared to what it is now.

..and I'll be the author of it downfall. No presure then.
Or it could take off. The people who've answered the thread are already over there asking their questions (bar a few of us who reapeat post there and here) just in a disjointed collection of areas.
Whether you're "Glass half empty or half full", doing nothing wasn't working.

I'm not at all surprised about the number of posts on LCB.
If you search on Fury you get 2523 threads (not posts, threads).
Similarly striker yields 2196 and Phoenix 968.
Total topics here is ~1200, and that is mostly jeff
Regarding Darwinism of forums.
Who knows, lets see.
Building community is what its about.
I don't think the LCB thing will break anything and it should increase focussed traffic.
