Had a great few days in France doing the Rallye de Jonquilles (http://www.lagrangeauxdamiers.com/artic ... 819282.htm) which is a road-book, non-timed, rallye in Pays de Calais starting (and finishing) from Place des Heros, Arras. We were on the money for the Rallye itself until the alternator main feed fractured towards the end of the first stage. We fixed it by the roadside with some assistance from the locals and then went straight to the lunch break missing out stage 2. We had to leave pretty quick at the end so as to catch the train but we ended up missing it while waiting to go through passport control (3/4 hr to clear UK Border controls!)

Did you have a passenger to navigate? I remember doing Laon classic without and having no idea where I was or where to go.

Yeah, I took Andy Elcomb. He has done lots of international rallies, including the London - Cape Town (2nd by 45 secs) so I reckoned he could find his way round France. I was a little concerned on the way there when he started saying....Flat right into Hairpin left as we approached the Tunnel Check in, you can guess what is was like in France lol

Yup, did that yesterday. HM Grepo seem to make no allowance for kids on Easter holiday.
Welcome to the UK :?
