Striker corner weights

Postby Rad334 » Wed Apr 02, 2014 7:23 pm

Trying to set the corner weights on my striker today ready for loton park on Saturday, got to this in the end before getting fed up :D I know it says total 602kgs but I had a big dinner!
Is that close enough?
I only sat the display there for the photo it didn't make much difference.

It doesn't get much better than that. I usually get bored before I get it that good. A couple of weeks on salad and you could even the sides up. ;)

Lol

Joking aside the car weighs without me 526kgs that's a lot heavier than I was expecting for a bike engined car.

There is a lot of 'pub' weight figures bandied about. My Phoenix is 620Kg with the supercharged Zetec in it so 520 sounds around the money for BEC.

If those weights are with you in the car then you've done a good job :!: I have mine equal at the front but 8kgs more on the rear drivers side than kerbside. Heavier the driver the harder to get it balanced ;)

Yes that's with me in it. I was pleased with that here's a photo without me in it. You would expect it to be a lot lighter on the rear right. Funny how it all balances out.

My Mk3 was 495Kg without me, doors and roof but with Sigma Se and live axle.
I´m afraid I have to say with me in it is pretty close to yours
Is there something heavy on yours? Seats, wheels

I've got the roll cage and a few extra braces in the chassis the reverse box is a few kilos, the engine weighs 83kgs (dry) but I have an accusump so that's extra weight.
The seats don't seem that heavy or the wheels. I had started making some alloy panels to do underneath but don't think I'll bother now.
You do surprise me yours was lighter with a car engine.
