rear facing exhaust

Having been picked up for noise a number of times at Goodwood I made the decision to get another can (small) fitted to the car. The choice was to exit from the side as normal and then have another silencer facing forward on the outside of the pod or....To fit a small can in the rear bodywork and have the exhaust exit from the rear of the car.
Well the car is back from Fury Sportscars and we went for choice no2

I think it looks alright and is certainly quieter than before.

Having the rear exit alone will be a big help , Goodwood's noise track meters being on the outsides of the circuit

Completely illegal tyre warming, Jeff! -- But, just a little worried how it's going to handle with one cold rear and one very warm one

Just wondered how the exhaust is working out Jeff? Had the same noise issues + too much heat build-up in the side pod.
I'm in the process of doing the same thing with my Phoenix. Changed to a small "hot-dog" muffler and flexi-joint in the side pod, but have mounted a larger muffler (Varex) with a butterfly valve transversely across the rear with the exit pipe on the RH side.
I've fabricated the section over the wheel from some oval tube. Currently it's off being welded.

Seems to work OK. It has reduced the noise (not sure by how much !). I look forward to your photos
