Hi Guys
Just a quick one to say i have at last got my Star back to Burton.
I have had time tonight to have a better lookaround it and It is chassis number two by the looks of it.
Started the engine and apart from needing timing up properly it sounds quite nice and no where near as rattley/loud as i was expecting.
A fair bit of work to do to get it on the road, new ignition switch, some wireing for front lights and all the rear one's.
New radiator needed and the hose's sorting, but basicly the rest looks sound enough and i am sure when i get stuck into it after my holidays next week it will come along and make a good sturdy car (the bodywork is very substantial and should spray up nicely).
Some photos of it as soon as i got it home are on Photo bucket if you would like a look. (If the link works)

Cheers for now.
Paul.

Got yourself a good looking project there!
It is a very similar blue to mine and it is Interesting that the grill bars have been removed, seen a couple like this.
Keep us informed on how it goes.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes . . .
