Apparently only competitors make the types of changes I have and the underwriters have experience of people claiming for racing accidents as if they occurred on the road.....Hence why they want a list of events so they can question me if I claim an accident on those days. Still seems odd but not really much of an issue....I'll just tell them it happened the day after

Lots of things have been done (just can't see most of it) and here is the latest photo.

Bonnet is going back on these evening and then we just need a silicon hose for the supercharger inlet and some o-rings from Jenvey and we can fit everything back together. Looking at Saturday to get it running.

It all looks very impressive --- ally and silicon So glad I didn't have a row of radiator/air cooler and oil cooler on mine when I joined with that Eelmoor tree though

I am using a Audi 710N recirc valve which will 'recirc' into the inlet. Not strictly necessary as Rob says but will give the Supercharger a easier time of it.

The canister airfilter is in the drivers sidepod and the is a 76mm alloy tube from that to the inlet on the charger (two silicon hoses either end) and the is a take of for the recirc there. The plenum has also got a take-off so it should work OK.

Presumably whether or not you need a dump valve depends on where the throttle plate(s) are relative to the supercharger.

If the throttle body is before the supercharger then no dump valve necessary.

If (like in your installation) the throttle plates are after the supercharger, then surely you do need a dump valve to prevent putting massive pressure (with all the associated damage) into the inlet tract when you close the throttle.


I guess you could put a throttle body on both the inlet to the supercharger and use a throttle body after, (like the DPV system use in the old days of F1), but I don't think normal people do that kind of thing.

Rotrex suggest it isn't necessary but this may relate to the position of the TB as you say.

The reason I ask is that I have some sort of valve fitted to mine and in the Rotrex manual supplied with the kit it does show the fitting of the valve from the outlet of the intercooler to the intake.
