Nice one!
Should be legal on the road well before the weather improves.

Well pleased with getting it through and looking forward to getting out in it when things are dry and sunny.

Re: Fury Spyder Duratec build
Started the post IVA works now and it has been surprising just how few bits there are to place in the "box of shame"
Harness covers - bos
Seat back extension pads - bos
Steering wheel centre pad - bos
Hazard switch "condom" - bos
Wing mirrors - bin
Rear view mirror - bos
Brake fluid warning label - bos
Head light chrome trim rings - bos
Also started the work to drop the bonnet to the proper level - which looks like a near 100mm drop from where it was needed to be to pass the IVA.
Bonnet stay spacers - bos
Bonnet packing timber - bos
Rubber IVA friendly bonnet catches - bos
Looks like if we want to retain the normal bonnet hump a Raceline Duratec-R engine cam cover will be needed to give the required bonnet clearance.
The current indicators will also go in the - bos and be replaced with L488 Lucas units in the bonnet recesses. The chrome trim rings of the headlights are in the - bos and the retaining rims will be painted black and then the Westgate light covers can be fitted. Also looking to fit a little polycarbonate deflector for the steering wheel.
Half the drop work has been done and its looking good.

I'm still amazed you needed to raise the bonnet to get through IVA, none of the Furys that FCS buid seem to need this.

Re: Fury Spyder Duratec build
I can only assume that FCS have never IVA'd a classic bonnet as there is no possible way that a classic can pass as the lamps are 4" below the minimum allowable height - our mods only scraped it by 1/2".
The Le-Mans bonnet was introduced to overcome the headlamp height issue.

Re: Fury Spyder Duratec build
Where were you measuring to? I seem to remember that the bottom of the lens is too low but Fury have confirmation from VOSA that "the light emitting surface" equates to the centre line of the lens. That's where the light the light is effectively emitted from. Think it's mentioned in the build manual.
I know the race chassis cars have to lift the bonnet to comply (one even put the lights up on stalks) and most road chassis cars have to put the suspension as high as possible to pass.

Re: Fury Spyder Duratec build
The test height is to the underside of the square on the lens works out about 10-15mm under the centre of the lens - Trust me having gone through it all very very recently
I do know what I am talking about.
