Did have other aspirations like getting the head flowed/port matched, ARP bolts, etc. but we'll see how that goes ;)

What car do you have and what size wheels did you run and what size brakes do you have :)

Fisher Fury IRS - currently 14x6 with Sierra at the rear and Hi-spec front.

I managed to borrow a set of 13x8's off Compomotive which look far too wide so I'm sticking with 7's on the rear and 6's on the front. 13's clear the wishbones and calipers OK however I managed to scrape the inside of the borrowed wheel on the handbrake lever - we'll see if I get my full deposit back when I hand the wheel back? A bit of bending and filing the bracket should allow a reasonable clearance.

I've just been using mine when I can, done a hundred miles in it earlier in the week, collected the turkey Christmas eve, luckily a big bird so didn't roll around in the footwell much!
fitted some proper headlight covers I had from France a month or so back, changed the look for the better for sure! Made a new linkage rod out of steel tube, feels much better, you can see it's not bending like the old threaded rod. Fitted a bias pedal box adjuster cable too, handy.

jobs planned:-
Tub off and fit it right
while it's off sort the dash, make a new dash and try and sort the mish-mash of clocks. Missed a used Race Tech water temp the other day on ebay that would have matched the oil pressure I had. Not that it matched the ETL fuel gauge or the whote Spa tacho!
capacitor on the fuel level to damp it's movement
clear polycarbonate for the dash instead of the black one I can't see through
tidy under the bonnet properly
sort the handbrake so I can reach it
sort seats

basically car is running well, just need to finalise cosmetics now

Well the master cylinders are swapped over, bled and the balance bar fettled a bit and refitted. Then I went to fit a bias adjuster. I've had it ages but never fitted. The fitting to screw onto the bias bar was the wrong size so I had to make a new one. Jst got to decide where to put the knob now. That meant things over ran a bit and it's not all back together.

...and pesky customers still interrupted me all day. I've got 2 jobs booked in tomorrow now and both have been faulty for weeks but have now broken. I hope they realise I'm going to charge for the privilege of interrupting x-mass.

Well my ambitious plans for wiring didn't quite come to fruition, but I did have a good time so not all bad. Since Christmas I've managed a bit more time on the wiring so it's coming along, just not as fast as I'd like. It took me a while to figure out the wiring for the hazard circuit using a normal toggle switch, once I had I noticed that all of the information was available on the Polevolt site where I buy most of my electrical parts!

I need to focus on getting wiring finished so I can get the car away to have an exhaust made and complete the bodywork fitting.

Job list still looks pretty long but I really want to be ready for summer this year, fingers crossed!

Snap!
I gotthe brake master cyls done and an adjuster knob fitted. Also a new throttle cable with a better return spring arrangement. Managed only to check and equalise the caster but nothing else on the suspension. For some reason I can't explain, I've never checked that before. It was just built with the rockers having equal number of spacers either side. Turne out it needs one spacer difference to be equal.

came out ok, feels so much better, you can feel the pedal now. tho you will have seen this at Blyton, it was done then
I got the balance bar cable and the balance bar from china for £21!

i bought another bike so have been tinkering with that. waiting on a water temp gauge turning up and then i'll have the body off and redo the dash . need to sort the horrible handbrake out. can't even reach it when strapped it, which makes hill starts tricky in a car with no flywheel weight!
you doing Blyton in March?

I wraped to new throttle cable all the way around the throttle linkage and put a spring on the end where the return cable normally mounts on the bike. For those that don't know... The throttle has pull and return cables on the bikeand as a result the return springs aren't (don't need to be) very strong.
