That looks pretty much the same as I run on my car, no issues for me either :)

It would mean a new tank and body off to fit for me. Thinking about it the lift pump is ancient, it was in the car when I got it running the carbs. New pump and filter I think and see where it is from there.

Ordered a new filter and Facet Bluetop (apparently a higher flowing Redtop) and we will see what that does. I might have to move the Swirl pot and HP pump/filter out of the engine bay as I have a suspicion that some of the issue maybe heat related now that the flat floor is in.

Have you noticed any change in engine bay temp them? eg engine oil or water temp more than usual.

No, if anything the oil temp is probably a little too low (80 ish deg). But the whole area is now enclosed and the fuel swirlpot/pump/filter are under the intake.

Jeff

I wouldn't particularly like a litre of fuel stored alongside my engine, anyway. Probably best to move it astern.

True....but I don't like sitting on 10 gallons either....

The other safety issue with swirlpots in the rear is the run of 4bar fuel down the central tunnel. At least with a front mounted swirlpot the fuel is at a few psi past the prop. Mind you I doubt if it makes a large difference either way.

Having a trailer, Jeff, I don't sit on more than nine litres in either car ;)

True....but I'm doing a rally in France next weekend in the car so needs more than a few yards worth of fuel. Plus it would be nice to do a lap of Spa without having to carry a fuel can ;)
