First impressions on the paddleshift

It is very intuitive, never even thought about reaching for a gear lever. It is very fast to change gear and it is a little bizarre not to have to use the clutch at all (apart from moving away or coming to a halt). You can change gear in corners without unloading the transmission and upsetting the car so you can certainly take liberties compared with a conventional H pattern box. Braking is much easier as there is no heel/toe required do you just plant your foot on the pedal, I suspect I'll end up left foot braking as this will allow me to trail brake easier and have faster transitions from accelerating and braking.

I knocked it out of reverse a couple of times while manoeuvring which is something to watch and the paddles move with the wheel so it takes a moment to work out which is up or down to get it back into reverse gear.

The interlock to go from neutral to first/first to neutral with the need to use two buttons is essential or you would find that you'd gone from 6th to Reverse very quickly (with the expected consequences!).

The air pump is very loud when you first put the power on, it sits at 180psi on the accumulator so the pump is on until that pressure is reached and then comes back on when the pressure dips below 150psi.
