Obviously pays to be ' large ' according to Gerry's career results , in both body and power plant. He was asked to drive the latest (10 yrs ago latest !) touring car and give his oppinion . It was a Primira I think , poking out 450bhp . When asked after his track session what he thought of the car he said '' this is not a car , 600bhp is a car '' . He used to drink with a few racing friends in our local on a Friday and I remember him recalling this very day testing at Silverstone . I narrowly missed him coming to see my car and donate the odd ' tip ' , as he sadly died just 2 months after giving me his card , saying ring me and we'll go for a drink (what a surprise)
What was really funny was his remark to my suggestion he could take it out(the Stylus) and show me how to really drive it but thought he may not get in it  He was a huge guy :!: He said '' that may not be a bad thing '' :P A great guy and very friendly too :)

So I do have the alloy panels-used to that look from the 7s-I like alloy better than carpet-that stuff is heavy.

The body shape in different places GT40 in the rear, XKSS flankes, Elite front wheel arches, and TVR nose--I like the elan windshield.

I find the relationship of the Toyota/Yamaha 16 valve 1600 twin cam and the Ford/Cosworth BDs right down to Bore/Stroke and valve sizes to be SO RIGHT!

I have been chasing wires-learning about the stand alone efi/ignition computer-installing knock sensors-making sure the fuel pump works-it did -this car was fitted with a fuel cell, in tank pump and large filter-AN lines to the engine-neat.

This summer I'll be doing my first English travel. The Thames National Trail. Advice on Best weather-and events.

Thanks
Kevin
