Yes mate - it really is that bad. Its a flat screen as you know that simply takes the wind that was going to hit you in the face in a nice straight line, and makes it hit you just as hard from the back and sides.
It also has the unpleasant side effect (without the doors) of making the car less stable at speed, due to all the messed up airflow I presume. The full screen is great - with the doors on!!
