OFF TOPIC - London Calling

Postby Edd » Sun Aug 26, 2012 10:33 pm

Hi All,
I am going to London on Friday for the Paralympics. Die to the £400 train ticket I am driving. Hope to park somewhere in North London and get the tube to Greenwich.
Has anyone any advice on Parking, or even got a drive I can use? Step-dad has suggested a side street near Brent Cross but isn’t 100% this is still non-permit!
Ideally would like to come down M11 or A1 but M1 ok too.
Thanks
Edd

Would Tottenham be too far out of your way :?: , my cousin lives near to the football ground and probably would let you park in the gated drive , if I ask nicely :)

As an alternative, the area off Hampstead Lane around Highgate School (try Bishopswood Road) is mostly unrestricted and normally OK for finding a spot during the school holidays (it's also a pretty "chav-free area"). Disadvantage is that it's a fair trek to the nearest tube station -- walk to Highgate tube, or walk to Highgate village centre and take a bus down the hill to Archway tube. Google maps is your friend.
