What Clutch Cable

Postby Edd » Mon May 14, 2012 12:42 pm

Hi All,
What Clutch Cable should I have?
Escort pedals/Type 9 5 speed box/2.0l Pinto. I can’t remember what I fitted when I built it but had to modify it a little as the cable itself was a little long IIRC. Would it be an Escort RS2000 cable or std. escort. Assuming a Sierra wouldn’t fit?

the sierra one will not fit as it has differnt end-fittings and no adjuster (due to a self adjuster on the pedal-box)

it depends on the design of your exhaust manifold, than maybe a RS2000 could be long enough.

burtonpower offers differnt ones, check here the differnt types and lengths:

alternative: http://www.speedycables.com/ are fabricating cables to your requirements, even if its "only" 1 piece.

Thanks Guys,
Going to get the tape measure out and order one from Burton, current one ok, just the threaded adjuster broke years ago and not 100% happy with it, cable looks fine though....
