It is interesting to note that in the AEMC regs all BEC engined cars are now in the over 1700cc category regardless of engine size.

But slightly different in Sports Libre it seems Will have to wait & see what Dave Whyman put out for ACSMC.

- Excluding cars in Appendix 1
1. ‘Standard Cars’ Up to 1600cc. – 2wd only, list 1Atyres
2. ‘Standard Cars’ Over 1600cc to 2000cc. – 2wd, list 1A tyres
(See Appendix 2 for specification of ‘Standard’)
3. Up to 1400cc - 2wd only, list 1A or 1B tyres
4. Over 1400cc to 2000cc – 2wd only, list 1A or 1B tyres
5. Over 2000cc - 2wd only, list 1A or 1B tyres
6. 4wd – all engine capacities, list 1A or 1B tyres
- Road Going Kit Type and Replica Cars (Examples are included in Appendix 1)

So it looks the same, looking forward to this year and twice at Hethel and 4 times at Goodwood

This is what the AEMC regs have. Interestingly the BARC regs have BEC kit cars in a separate class.

Road-going Specialist Production Cars

(Incl Lotus 7, Elise, Exige and derivatives of these cars, Sylva, Caterham and Westfield cars etc)
Class 5 Up to 1700cc
