London Irish Motor Club has cancelled its planned two-day sprint meeting at the last moment without even bothering to put out regs!
To quote: "Although we have taken financial losses over the past 3 years while running this event, this year we have insufficient confidence or sponsorship support to make the event a reality. We feel that ever dwindling entries, combined with increased running costs simply means the event isn’t viable. The committee believes it would be irresponsible to take such a financial loss and potentially put the future of the club at risk."
That's one club which will not be seeing me again in a hurry.
