I'm going to use A92 or A15 slicks I think...

I think A92s will be too soft for your car and will not give you the extra grip you think with them. A15 will give you much better life. On my Jedi A92s on the front, 1 lap of Goodwood destroyed them.

The hill climb boys use the A92s but only run about 30-40 seconds.

Agree on A15 -- when the Striker was going in ModSpecProd we ran A15 at the recommendation of BMTR. Slight problem was, running only 7" rims, there was no equivalent of the 215/50-13 we ran on the rear with road-going tyres. With 8" or 9" rears, no problem.

I'm currently running 6" and 8", front and back. I'd like to run 7 & 9 but that will have to wait.

Jeff

Chat to BMTR (Motorsport section) -- they will set you right on sizing. No problem with 6" and 8" (in fact, unless sizing has changed over the last few years, pretty much perfect). Even your gearing should be there or thereabouts.

What wets (if any) did you use David?

Second hand ex-Formula Renault wets. Michelin 20/54-13.

Used rather rarely, but pretty effective.

Think I still have them -- old, but yours for a song if you'd like to give them a try

Next question then Jeff Crossply or radial? that will give us a clue for tyre sizing for you :)
