Without an all enveloping f/glass body riveted/bonded to the chassis , fitting the new ROPS isn't a big deal though

Indeed....going to cost me big bucks. I was wondering if it would be simpler to actual put a full cage without the backstays which meets the requirements.

Fitting backstays that are welded at the top of the bar and extend through the f/glass rear body(boot in my case)then welded to the chassis , will be a real pain. If I could be certain the rollbar is ok and only the backstays are non compliant then I may compete in 2016 . If I do it then I'll probably do the cutting myself(f/glass that is)then get a good welding guy to fit the stays. Not convinced yet though :?

Is your roll hoop 45mm x 2.5mm or 50mm x 2mm?

You need to comply with K1 or K2 in the Bluebook. If backstays are a problem (and I think they will be) a K2 cage might be easier.

I think it's 45mm after I had it made 100mm above my helmet but would have to drill it for gauge measurement. Must have a thorough read of the blue book rops pages.

I think you maybe correct. I'm going to get Procomp to do a full cage I think.

I hope I'm not muddying already murky waters Jeff but, as I see it, if the implementation is the whole of 1.6.1 then, with your car being over 2 litre, then a full cage (K3 or 4)will be mandatory :?

This is copied from the 2015 blur book
