Well, it looks as though there is a good chance that a JPSC will win Class A7 (road-going kits up to 1700cc) ;)

hahahaha....always possible that one or other of the Husseys break it in Practise I suppose.

Looking forward to having some fun this weekend....Goodwood Saturday and then on to Hethel for Sunday.

John is, unfortunately, correct in his doubt. Our list of "early baths" from Hethel over the last few years includes: ruining a cylinder head, complete meltdown of a Hayabusa, and catastrophic failure of a drive shaft at high speed. It's our jinx circuit :?

Difficult day at the office for Jeff and me.

I was driving like a Muppet (just plain slow -- embarrassingly so), and Jeff had overheating issues and was driving like a Muppet (fast, but "directional issues").

Chris had a pretty good day, as did Nigel Fleming and Andy Elcomb.

Full JPSC results to follow.

In classic style I went several seconds faster in practise than anyone else except Pete Goulding....and then got roundly beaten in 27th place or some such with some very poor runs.

First timed I caught the car in front and backed off (didn't re-run because of heat) and 2nd timed run I had a moment and went straight over one corner (damaging the splitter in the process). Andy was several seconds off my practise times but ended up 3rd in class.

If you combine this with being picked up for noise at Goodwood (to the point I was coasting from the last chicane to the line) and did a 90.2 in first timed. Andy then did a 89.9 in 2nd timed (he drove it from the last chicane) and just before my final run someone dropped oil from Madgewick to St Marys. After 45 mins of delay due to the Marshalls tipping several large bags of cement dust over the circuit I was invited by the Startline to take my 2nd timed run which, unsurprisingly, was only a 91.6sec.

So effectively Andy lucked in to two wins over me....really not feeling the love for the whole double drive idea.

Just to make myself feel better I should mention my fastest time in Practise was a 129 and I've found the issue which caused 1 spin, 1 1/2 spin and a trip across the gravel.
