Out in a repaired Phoenix at a very wet and miserable Hethel. Finally stopped raining around 2pm and a drying track created a bit of a lottery with a number of stoppages due to 'offs'. My 2nd and final run was a 1.38.9 which was only 0.2 secs of Pete Goulding but I clipped a cone at the chicane with the back tyre and ended up with a 5 sec penalty and 3rd in class (Stephen Laing taking 2nd by 1 sec). My 2nd driver pushed too hard on his last run and missed the bus stop chicane.
Nigel Fleming went well in his Striker Aero and David Hussey was there as club steward. Great to have a issue (ish) free event, the car is running fine even if it is more multi-coloured than before.
Looking forward to Goodwood & Debden next weekend.

Who got ftd then, sounds like an interesting day.
I was at Rushmoor and was not aloud to do the first practice run due to the rain and only running slicks. Come 10.30 loads of sun strong winds and we where all sunburnt for the rest of the day. Will post a boultervision for your viewing.

Tony did a 1.21 at the death when the track was dry.
