And mine . . .

4.41 diff ratio
0.889 top
215/55-13 rears

Speed in 1st (mph) 62
Speed in 2nd (mph) 83
Speed in 3rd (mph) 105
Speed in 4th (mph) 122
Speed in 5th (mph) 140
Speed in 6th (mph) 157

But it'll still do only about 130 tops!

I had a 4.9 diff last year, but it fitteth not the Striker :(

He doesn't really need a gearbox -- with that much torque just a clutch would pretty much suffice ;)

'06 R1 motor, Freelander (3.21:1) diff and 205/60/13 rears tyres...

Speed in 1st (mph) 73.97112986
Speed in 2nd (mph) 90.82349585
Speed in 3rd (mph) 106.3387468
Speed in 4th (mph) 123.1070118
Speed in 5th (mph) 137.3672082
Speed in 6th (mph) 147.6508053

Don't know what it actually tops out at but I've had it past 140 on the clocks (accurate with GPS) and still pulling. I guess that shows the advantage of the full body. That was with the old motor, so with the new one (+10% power and +20% torque) I'm confident it'll go all the way to the limiter... which is probably my kahunas and not the ECU.

Cheers Jeff
thanks for that....seems to be no difference whatsoever on the 2 charts in speeds betweeen the 15 inch and 13 inch wheels, I suppose the inch loss in radius from 15 inch to 13 inch
must be made up by the higher profile from 50 - 60 ?? Will there be a reduction in handling with the higher profile 13's ?

Empirically the handling is better with 13" wheels on our lightweight cars. You'll see all the racers using the smaller size. The only reasons for running bigger wheels is to have bigger brake discs and that isn't an issue with sub 700Kg cars.

Seconded :)

13's are lower in weight....this saves circa 20Kg on rotational mass AND on unsprung weight so the suspension can work 'better'. Tyres for 13" wheels are generally cheaper than the same type of tyre in 15" so its a win win situation :D

My new Striker came with 14" wheels but as soon as its back on the road and any teething issues are sorted out I will be swapping to 13" wheels ;)
