4th in class on a very tricky circuit. This is my first visit to Curborough which is a specialist sprint course.

The measure first lap, 64ft times and speed across the line which is all interesting stuff. Final results in my class where very close with a Peter Golding on a 57.03sec and the next three on 59.01, 60.1 and then me on 60.37. More time to come :)

R65 Peter GOULDING Westfield 2.21 32.63 108 57.71

Comparison between Pete's runs and mine. I cocked up the last run which would have been my quickest. I improved by 1 sec per run until the last one. It was interesting that Pete was tyre warming which made a big difference in his 64ft times.

Curby is one of the few sprint venues which still allows tyre warming (in the designated area). I've tried it both ways, but mostly use it there. The start-line is quite grippy, so achieving a 2.2s is not out of the ordinary. The difference between Pete's and your 64 foot times is probably mainly down to the tyres.

This from the days of road-going Striker, 1600cc VX power and an H-pattern gearbox . . . .

I didn't think a 60.37 was too bad for a first visit.

Was Phil OK? Doesn't look like one of his better performances!
