I'm running Procomps recommended springs and damper settings with no ARB so.....it is what it is. I also think the full body exaggerates the roll to an extent

Karl is now back from holiday, and has reported :o

A big end bearing had turned (No.4) -- so no loss of oil pressure.

Damage to crankshaft, bent/twisted conrod, bent and impacted valves, dead piston, damage to cylinder bore, damage to head, damage to camshaft, scavenge pump ruined, etc. :( :roll: :(

Repair cost would be approaching £4k (for an engine that cost £7k) -- so will write off to experience. Pity, as Karl said the evidence of 1-3 is that the engine had been running perfectly, and was in very good nick indeed.

Duratec, anyone?

Bad news David...are you going to put the Vauxhall in it or buy a Busa engine and slot it in?

how does a bearing turn? would it have picked up something? sorry to hear the news that is one hell of a bill :shock:

Actually, it is quite impressive. That's a standard Suzuki con-rod. It got hot enough to be reforged, but didn't break (even when the bolts did)!
