Re: Blyton
What, me moan?
Blyton was glorious. 27 degrees, and pretty much unbroken sunshine. Canteen did brilliantly by failing to run out of their (very high quality) ice cream.
The WSCC Speed Series is very hotly contested, and features a few seriously capable drivers . . . . so things were tough! However . . .
Best runs over the two days for the JPSC brigade were:
Richard Abraham Striker CEC NA 1600 71.20s
Emma Bennison Striker CEC NA 1600 70.51
Alan Mugglestone Fulcrum CEC NA 2000 66.64
Nick Mugglestone Fulcrum CEC NA 2000 67.62
Chris Boyd R1ot BEC NA 1340 69.59
Malcolm MacKay R1ot BEC NA 1340 69.16
Chris Hussey Striker BEC NA 1398 66.21
I managed 69.68s in the 1600 Westy.
By way of comparison, the fastest 1600 Westy (Stuart Hill) was on 67.69, fastest 2000 Westy was Adrian Clinton-Watkins on 64.15s, and the fastest BEC was Terry Everall on 65.51s.
Jeff, your old sparring partner, Pete Goulding, came home with 67.82s.
All the above CECs are road-going, BECs not.
Great day was had by all. Leeriest spin of the day: Chris Boyd (rotating through the crops at about 110mph!).
