Aaah! Strawberries and cream.

And Lewis on pole.

Day's improving after alternator failure rendered Lydden difficult :(

Good to catch up with Jeff and David (and, briefly, Simon) though.

2nd in class with knackered rear tyres. Beaten by Pete Golding who put it in the barrier on the best improvers run ! Thankfully Pete is OK but the Westfield is a little the worse for wear.

Video shows me fighting for rear traction on most of the lap.

With you getting your excuse in early, do I take it that you also didn't manage to beat a certain little normally aspirated 1600? :o

Seriously though, the video makes your car look like a serious handful -- too much pah, dear boy.

Sorry to hear about Pete :(

He went off at Paddock on the 'best improvers' run. Did the front spitter and rear arch on one side with lots of gravel everywhere. Shouldn't be that bad but he will need to see once he gets it home.

I did get beaten by a NA 1600cc but as I said I had medium ZZRs which are ex-Caterham race car ones which are well passed their sell by date. New A24 compounds tyres are required.

Well done Jeff and, despite only one run, David. Glad I didn't have your power Jeff, I had enough trouble with just 210 bhp - very slippery it seemed to me.

David, Pete has your trophy and I hope you get the electrics sorted out soon.

Simon good to see you too despite not competing. At least I think I may have persuaded you to come back with the unmentionable (on this forum anyway ;) ) in October :?: Talking of which why is David so active here with another unmentionable? At least he is talking of returning to the fold next year :)

PS Thanks for telling me who was on pole in Germany David before I watched the recording :(

Funny thing, allegiance. The other lot also question why I'm active on their forum (2300 posts) -- and am secretary of their club -- when they perceive my first love to be my Striker!

 (But I won't tell you who won the race!)

Thanks David, have hardly recovered from Wimbledon. Not sure if I can stay awake to watch the GP recording after necessary Murray celebrations :) Yardarms etc
